Can you imagine life in Europe without heating (and cooling)? Over the last decade, energy policy focused very intensive on the liberalization of the electricity markets. Citizens and the media often understand energy and electricity as one and the same thing. Most people, including also decision makers, underestimated the share of energy used for heating purposes. The heating sector is a neglected giant.
