While rather sober aspects such as functionality, performance and equipment once constituted the decisive criteria when purchasing a vehicle, for some years now customers have been placing increasing value on visual appearance. A high quality interior conveys a feeling of luxury and exclusivity to the customer and has long been a must even outside the premium sector. In the meantime, perfect interior harmonization with regard to color, texture and gloss has become an important differentiator even in commercial vehicles. As a result, the optical quality requirements made of plastic components are also on the increase for the interior.
