In this paper we present an ASIC to be used in space application, but not limited to this application only, that integrates the front-end electronics required for processing the pixel array detector output signals, the digital logic required for reading-out these signals and the A/D converter. The integrated circuit has been designed to be bump bonded to the detector pixel array. A read-out system has been designed and manufactured too in order to validate the ASIC. This work was carried-out in the framework of an ESA research activity.
