A bench-scale fluidized bed gasifier was used in experiments to analyze the desulfurization of limestones with changing gas atmosphere, reaction temperature, and sorbent particle size. The reaction rate of sulfidation and Ca conversion increase significantly with increasing reaction temperature and decreasing particle size. In simulated coal gas, the reaction between H_2S and limestone behaved different feature from that in N_2.
