Reduction of Reflections in Interleaved Bi-directional DWDM Systems Using SOA Inline Amplification

We have analysed the sources of reflections in interleaved bi-directional DWDM SOA transmission. We have numerically and experimentally demonstrated the reduction of reflections by reducing both the SOA bias current and facet reflectivities.
