Programmable, polarization-independent, and DWDM-chromatic dispersion compensator using a virtually-imaged phased-array and spatial light modulator

We demonstrate a programmable, polarization-independent, and DWDM-capable chromatic dispersion compensator based on a virtually-imaged phased-array and spatial light modulator providing both positive and negative dispersion with tuning range of -2040 /spl sim/ +850 ps/nm.
