Correlation of rf-response and domains in patterned ferromagnetic films

Understanding the dynamic magnetic response of patterned soft magnetic thin films in the GHz regime is crucial for high frequency applications e.g. in integrated micro-inductors. Performance and magnetic losses are critically determined by (largely unexplored) dynamical domain effects. The correlation between rf-response and magnetic microstructure is addressed in this paper.
