The permanent magnet (PM) brushless generator, due to its high efficiency and high power density, has been proven to be a competitive alternative for wind power application [1]-[7]. However, the random variation of wind speed causes the PM brushless generator producing variable output voltage [8]. In order to keep the output voltage constant and avoid overcharging the battery bank at high speed, both mechanical and electrical methods are investigated [2], [9].
