MECHANOCHEMICAL SYNTHESIS OF GAMMA-LiAlO_2

摘要

Nanosized gamma-lithium aluminate can be used as a matrix for electrolyte in molten carbonate fuel cells (MCFC) [1]. Also, an addition of a small amount of ?-LiAlO_2 increases ionic conductivity of the polymeric electrolyte system containing LiClO_4 salt [2]. For these applications it is necessary to obtain a pure phase of LiAlO_2 with specific surface area about 20 m~2/g and 50 m~2/g correspondingly.
