Ti-Zr based alloys have a wide application prospect in biomedical materials because of its superior qualities, such as high corrosion resistance, low specific gravity, and good biocompatibility. It is revealed that both the hardness and the tensile strength of the binary Ti-Zr alloys can be 2-3 times as large as pure Ti or pure Zr [1]. However, binary Ti-Zr mechanical alloying is very hard or impossible because they belong to the same group metals in the periodic table and exhibits the complete solid solubility [2].
