摘要

The chromium residue studied in this paper is the by-product in the production of chromium by thermit process. In order to recycle the chromium slag, it is the most urgent task for now to remove hexavalent chromium from chromium slag, since hexavalent chromium is very harmful to our health. In the present study, the effects of key factors on the removal of hexavalent chromium in the preparation process of spinel refractory raw materials by using chromium slag were investigated. These key factors included: (1) atmosphere; (2) proportion of MgO; (3) reaction time and quantity of materials. Through the research, an effective method of hexavalent chromium removal was developed, which further provided a solution for the harmless treatment and resource utilization of chromium residue.
