Water leakage in EAF from water cooled panels is considered to be of high operational and safety risk in the steel manufacturing process, and the early detection of the leak is an essential and necessary factor to minimize and/or eliminate such risks. ELD Technology developed by Lumar Metals brings an innovative solution that, by combining and analyzing data, detects and indicates initial leaks from 0.2 l/min up to 10 seconds after its occurrence. Laboratory and industrial tests on large scale were carried out successfully, accrediting the technology to market.
