Non-uniform distribution of hot blast through tuyeres results in different length of combustion zones thus causing difference in the discharge of the blast-furnace charge in individual furnace sectors and a deformed gas flow is formed along the cross section. Therefore, obtaining data on hot blast distribution through tuyeres is an important process performance parameter. A new technique is proposed for determining the flow rate of blast through tuyeres, based on the use of the thermal capacity of the flow passing through the tuyere and the value of the heat removal from this tuyere. 1.It has been shown that hot blast distribution by blast furnace tuyeres is characterized by significant non-uniformity and can be determined by blast furnace smelting technology and design of air-supplying duct. It has been shown that under non-uniform blast distribution through tuyeres, in order to stabilize thermal state in combustion zones, review of natural gas flowrate is required for each tuyere to maintain theoretical flame temperature at a target level.
