Pellets are considered to be the main iron bearing burden materials in the modern blast furnaces (BF), especially in North America and Scandinavia, its quality has a crucial role in the fuel rate as well as the furnace productivity1. Quality of pellets is generally influenced by the nature of iron ore concentrate, gangue and additives (fluxing materials, binder). Recently, more attention is being paid to the fluxed pellets as iron bearing burden material in modern BF due to their good mechanical and chemical properties2,3.
