The RISING Project At GSI And Its First Results

The RISING project is a combination of the EUROBALL Ge cluster detectors, the MINIBALL Ge detectors, and HECTOR BaF2 detectors with the fragment separator for the in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy to investigate nuclei far from stability by using RI-beams. Coulomb excitation experiments on neutron rich Cr isotopes and an experiment with two-step fragmentation of 58Ni primary beams have been performed, and preliminary results of the experiments are discussed.
