Full-scale Drop Testing of the CONSTOR~reg; V/TC Package - Program and Preliminary Results

1. The performance of the drop test complied with the planned procedures 2. According to the results known at present, the mechanical design of the package will presumably be confirmed by the test results 3. A comparison of the test results with the results of the pre-test calculations is currently performed 4. Differences between the test results and the pre-test calculations will be evaluated by post-test calculations. 5. For further full-scale drop tests, two puncture side drop tests are of special interest: 5.1 Onto the centre of the puncture-resistant jacket and 5.2 Onto the lid or bottom side, beneath the area which is protected by the jacket. 6. Other drop orientations are already considered by the numerous tests with the two CONSTOR~® half-scale models which were tested in 1997 and 2002.
