The developmental, manufacturing, and quality hurdles of precolored, clarified polypropylene compounds were studied. Color match difficulties, methods of color measurement and manufacturing techniques will be discussed as they relate to the production of transparent and translucent precolored, clarified, polypropylene compounds. Topics will include a discussion of pigment types, pigment forms, compounding methods, color quality control, and specific color measurement methods as they relate to color control action plans.
