Title: 'REVITALIZED MILITARILY CRITICAL TECHNOLOGIES PROGRAM'

As stated above, the MCTL is not one of the control lists maintained by the US such as the Commerce Control (Dual Use) List (CCL) or the US Munitions List (USML). However, it is one of many inputs used in the development of these lists. It provides the government agencies developing these lists an input from the Secretary of Defense outlining what technologies are considered by the Secretary of Defense' Office as "Militarily Critical". The "Control Lists" are then developed jointly by all appropriate US Agencies including DoD. The MCTL TWG process reviews worldwide technologies from all countries and assesses their technical parameters of each technology to determine which, if any, of those technologies have attributes and parameters which are militarily critical or critical for our Homeland Security. The TWGs also evaluate those technologies which could be critical to our defense when mature. Therefore, the Technology Working Group (TWG) members have significant responsibilities in this review and evaluation process. IDA would like to take this opportunity to invite any of you who may be interested to get in contact with us to discuss the matter further (see reference POCs below). If you would like to join one of the TWGs and help in the current and future review and draft of appropriate sections of the MCTL and DSTL, please take this opportunity to contact us as well. We believe that this will be beneficial, both to the TWG process itself and to you personally if you are interested in exploring new and developing technologies, which could provide utility to your organization in the future. It can be a good educational experience as well as needed support for this DoD requirement.
