Thru-Line De-embedding (TLD): An Accurate and Simplified Fixture Removal Method with Self-Validating Line Standard - (PPT)

The Thru-Line De-embedding (TLD) method is presented by deriving the algorithm; The algorithm is verified through simulations and measurements; Compare with the traditional TRL methods, the TLD method presented here reduced calibration patterns to a zero-length Thru standard and a non-zero-length Line standard; By assuming known behavior of the insertion loss curve of the transmission line, the TLD method also provides useful bandwidth prediction of final de-embedded results.
