This paper presents findings of the experimental investigation carried out on the self-healing process of cracks in concrete under percolation of water. The main aim of this research was to investigate the effect of Portland limestone cement (PLC) on the self-healing process. A test method was developed to study the self-healing process where flows of water through a cracked concrete specimen under constant head was monitored with time. Rapid reduction of flow rate followed by gradual reduction was observed in all specimens indicating a self-healing process of cracks. Most of the specimens sealed completely after several weeks of exposure to water flow. It was found that there is hardly any difference in the self-healing process of concrete made with OPC and PLC when the percentage of limestone is about 5% and 12% in OPC and PLC respectively.
