Damage tolerance design is primary way for the assurance of safety for aircraft structures, and the typical rivet row structure is a kind of principle structural element (PSE) of skin splice of pressurized fuselage. A probability damage tolerance method for this kind of structure is presented in this paper, and an acceptable way for prediction crack growth life with certain reliability is discussed. A numerical example is given to illustrate the analysis procedure in detail. The result shows that the structure with rivet row is much dangerous than that with only one central hole, and the anti-crack effect of the holes in the crack growth path should be considered properly. The Method is not applicable to MSD structure.
