Reorganisation of Property Management in the State of Berlin

With the ruling of the House of Representatives on the foundation of the Separate Property Estate of the State of Berlin (SILB), on transfer of real estate to the SILB and the accompanying management of this property by the private company BIM GmbH, the foundations for optimising the management of these properties have been laid. The goal is to achieve a decisive contribution to the restoration of the Berlin budget, by improving quality standards through efficient portfolio and property management. In this way, savings of 41 million Euros were realised from 2003-2006, and a multiple of this sum has been contractually fixed for the years to come.
