Bending the Rules: New Bending Techniques for Difficult Parts

There will be many definitions of what may make a part 'difficult' to bend, however for the purposes of this narrative, I have categorised the term to mean a part which is manufactured from a material more resistant to the bending process than one would normally prefer and with a bending radius which is close in relative terms to the tube size and a wall thickness that would be classed as 'thin' when, again, taking the tube size into consideration. It is first important to understand the terms of 'thin wall' and 'tight radius' as these cannot be defined simply by the actual measurement of the material wall or the bending radius. They must be expressed as factors relative to the tube size in order to gain a clearer understanding of their relevance to the difficulty of the process.
