摘要

The continuous steel casting process is today a predominant process in the casting of steel ingots. Steel casting by the continuous method relay on supplying liquid steel to one or several moulds of a CSC (Continuous Steel Casting) machine by means of a tundish. It plays the role of a buffer ensuring continuous inflow of liquid steel to the moulds during the ladles exchange. The tundish has also become an active metallurgical unit. It is very important to understand the flow pattern of liquid metal and the phenomena accompanying the flow changes.
