In this study, mixed matrix membrane (MMM) adsorbers were prepared by incorporation of hydroxyapatite (HAP) into a polyether sulfone (PES) porous matrix by an immersion phase separation process. Dimethyl acetamide (DMAc) was used as solvent and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was pore-forming additive. Preevaporation time was changed to prepare PES/HAP MMMs with different structure and preformance. The structure of MMM was characterized by porosity, mean pore size and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The performance of MMM was evaluated by shrinkage ratio, pure water flux and adsorption to Bovine serum albumin (BSA). Pure water flux of MMM increases with the extension of preevaporation time. The variation of adsorption to BSA is small.
