摘要

The paper proposes a sensing system which measures the location of plural objects accurately using a frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW) type electromagnetic wave radar. The localization is achieved by modeling the beat signal from the radar as the sum of several sinusoidal waves and estimating the distinct frequencies by applying the maximum likelihood method. The validity of the system is verified with an experiment on two objects, a car and a man.
