Multi-alloyed white cast irons have been widely used for hot work rolls because of their excellent abrasive wear resistance. Oxidation occurs on the surface of the cast iron during holding at high temperature for Hie heat treatment. However, the oxidation behavior of multi-alloyed white cast iron has not entirely been clarified. In this study, the influence of V content on the behavior of high temperature oxidation was investigated in detail.
