Dealing with environmental regulations in automobile industries, it is strongly demanded for O-rings applied to automotive industries to have better resistance for alternative fuels such as bio-fuels and more comprehensive sealing reliability that covers several operating conditions. In this study, the sealing performance of O-rings is examined for several alternative fuels and for cryogenic and high -pressure conditions, and its sealing mechanism is discussed.
