摘要

Ni-5at.%W alloy has received considerable attention for use as a substrate material for coated superconductor applications in the RABiTS~(TM) method. Optimization of cube texture ({001}<100>) is necessary in this alloy for attaining a high critical current density in the superconductor tapes and different heat treatment routes have been suggested for this purpose. However, the origin of cube texture in this alloy has not been investigated to any significant extent. The current work is carried out with an aim to understand the formation of cube recrystallization texture in this alloy.
