Nb-TiCo and Nb-TiNi alloys are promising candidates for hydrogen separation membranes. It is expected that the eutectic {B2-TiCo+bcc-(Nb, Ti)} /{B2-TiNi+bcc-(Nb, Ti)} phase suppresses the hydrogen embrittlement. In this work, the lattice parameter changes of the Nb_(30)Ti_(35)Co_(35) and Nb_(19)Ti_(40)Ni_(41) alloys with only eutectic structure were investigated by in-situ XRD during heating in vacuum and subsequent cooling at 0.5MPa hydrogen. A comparison of origin of higher resistance to hydrogen embrittlement for Nb_(30)Ti_(35)Co_(35) and Nb_(19)Ti_(40)Ni_(41) alloys is discussed.
