摘要

Cu-BMGs have been considered as the promising structural materials because of their high strength and low price. Therefore, it is important to develop Cu-based BMGs with high glass-forming ability. Recently, we developed a series of quaternary Cu-Zr-Al-Ag BMGs with excellent glass-forming ability. The glassy alloy rods with large diameter of centimeter scale can be easily formed for the quaternary alloys by copper mold casting. Such development of Cu-Zr-based bulk metallic glass would promote the potential application for engineering materials. In this study, we have investigated the glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of the new quaternary Cu-Zr-Al-Ag bulk metallic glasses.
