Since the failure of lift track leaf chain in operation can cause the loss of human, life and property, reliability certification and life prediction of the leaf chain are strongly demanded. The failure mechanism of the leaf chain may be divided into two types, that is the fatigue fracture of inner plate and the increase of chain length by contact wear. In this study, the guideline on the testing and analyzing methods was suggested to assess the reliability of leaf chain.
