The energy economy of nearly all of the industrialized countries is based on the use of stored energy, mainly fossil energy in the form of coal, oil, and natural gas. Problems have arisen when we use our reserves for our comfortable life. One of these great challenges in the twenty-first century is unquestionably energy storage. To respond to the energy needs of modern society and rapidly increasing industry, it is essential that inexhaustible and environmentally friendly energy conversion and storage systems are found. Therefore, the research about the various devices in energy system has been developed. The performance of these devices depends on the properties of their materials. Innovative materials in techniques have been already utilized in the fields of the energy storage and conversion such as supercapacitors, solar cells, and fuel cells application.
