The presented study concentrate on the tribology of by-pass filter elements made from non-woven textiles materials. The main objective of study was to evaluate usage of non-woven textiles and their performance in different types of filter elements and an analysis of wear particles separated by spunbond fabric in By-pass filtration. The experimental part of study includes particle count image topography of non-woven textiles, statistics assessment of resistant and non-resistant area, data evaluation and determination of cleanness according ISO 4406 and NAS 1638.
