A surface, relief grating structure of TiO_2 was fabricated by utilizing a photopolymerization-induced phase separation method under laser interference exposure onto the sol-gel derived TiO_2 gel film. The advantage of this method is that the polymer phase formed by photo polymerization reaction is used as the mold of grating, which can be eventually removed by heat-treatment to form the TiO_2 grating.
