Massive bone defects are a great challenge to reconstructive surgery. The preferred treatment is an autologous bone graft. But the supply of suitable bone is limited and its collection is painful, with a risk of infection, hemorrhage, cosmetic disability, nerve damage, and a loss of function. So researchers never stop the study of bone graft substitutes. Because of good biocompatibility and intension, Ca-P biomaterial has become a hot spot recently [1]. Since Ca-P biomaterials are similar to inorganic natural bone component and structure[2,3], it is interesting to do a comparative study on bone inductivity of the two kinds of materials.
