摘要

Oxygen,water and nitrogen oxide (NO) inhibit N_2O decomposition over noble metal catalysts.The inhibiting effect of NO on N_2O decomposition over zeolite supported noble metal catalysts can be (partly) eliminated by combining the noble metals with iron.In the presence of NO,the overall conversion of N_2O over Fe-Ru-FER exceeds the sum of conversions over the monometallic analogues of the individual components.This synergistic effect gives superior N_2O decomposition activity under realistic conditions,i.e.in the presence of water,O_2 and NO,at temperatures as low as 623 K.The role of oxygen in the synergistic effect is discussed.
