The vessel type reactor, which serves for batch operation, is used in many material processes. A highly efficient method is desired in which fluids in the container are discharged at high speed and transported to the next process with little energy consumption. Moreover, there are many cases in which individual phases must be separated perfectly and discharged from the container, in which two or more phases (e.g., liquid-liquid and solid-liquid) coexist. For example, two kinds of coexisting liquid phases are usually collected separately by discharging only the lower liquid phase through a nozzle installed on the bottom face of the container. However, as the liquid level lowers with the progress of the discharge, swirling flow generates, which causes a mixing discharge of the upper liquid phase. For this reason, it is difficult to discharge two coexisting liquid phases separately in practice.
