摘要

A new method named catalyst-assisted pyrolysis of polymeric precursor to synthesize low-dimensional nanomaterials was present in this paper. Low-dimensional nanomaterials with various morphologies such as Si{sub}3N{sub}4 nanowires, Si{sub}3N{sub}4 nanobelts and SiC nanorods were synthesized via this method at different pyrolysis temperatures. The mechanism that governed the formation of nanowires, nanobelts and nanorods was discussed.
