摘要

In order to extend the distributed object computing to mobile network, Wireless CORBA should meet two capital requirements: terminal mobility and wireless access, which traditional CORBA architecture is unable to deal with. This paper provides the following contributions to the study of Wireless middleware technology at protocol layer. First, it analyzes the architecture, characters of wireless CORBA and core supportive technology to realize wireless CORBA: mobile IOR, GIOP tunnel protocol and the diverse handoff mechanisms. Second, it explains how we applied layered software architecture to makes an intensive study on the design of GTP framework. Thirdly, we make a discussion on the problems that should be considered to enable communication to achieve high efficiency and reliability during designing the adapter.
