From 1994 to 2007, the EPA-60 electronbeam gun (27 kV, 60 kW) of Russian production was used in the TSEFEY-M facility. In 2007 the EPA-60 gun was replaced by new electron beam system EBS 200/40 manufactured by Von Ardenne (40 kV, 200 kW). The gun was used in a number of experiments, including heat tests of the ITER divertor plasma-facing qualification prototypes.
