The supply of heavy oils, which have large molecular weight and higher sulfur content, is excess while the demand for them is decreasing year and year. To obtain white oils such as more valuable gasoline, catalytic cracking is usually performed. In this process, dry gas with lower carbon number and light cycle oil (LCO) with higher carbon number than gasoline are obtained besides gasoline.
