摘要

The pollution of surface waters and sediments by non-point source synthetic organic substances is of significant environmental concern.Nitroaromatic pesticides(NAPs),a class of hydrophobic compounds used on agricultural lands throughout the United States,may be transported to wetland and lacustrine sediments through the deposition of suspended solids.Once deposited in wetland sediments,NAPs can re-equilibrate with surrounding porefluids and undergo reductive abiotic or biotic transformations.
