One of the main drivers for the increased use of advanced high strength steels in modern cars is to satisfy more stringent requirements of passenger safety during crash. On the other hand, customers are becoming more interested in high strength steels with improved formability, which means improved total and uniform elongation and n-values. Similar high strength steels are requested as cold rolled, galvanized or galvannealed.
