The reactive processing of polyester and epoxy functional polymers

摘要

Due to improve moldabilty (low melt viscosity and low melt tension) of some polyester resins, chain extension /branching of polyester was produced by some multi-epoxy functional polymers on a reactive extrusion system. The reactivity of polyester with epoxy group was depending on a processing temperature and was not enough to finish on the extrusion process, however the exist of some alkali metal salts made possible to finish the reaction on the extruder system.
