The finishing process of zamak alloy components generates a gray mud waste that at the moment is stored within disposal sites without having been found any effective way for its recycling. A possible use for this waste would be its utilization as raw material for ceramic industry. Due to this fact the waste as well as the ceramic samples were characterized. The obtained results demonstrate that this waste mixed with glass can be used in the ceramic industry.
