Social Capital, Organizational Operation Mode and Knowledge Management Effectiveness

We examine how social capital and organizational operation mode affect knowledge creation, intellectual capital and knowledge management (KM) effectiveness. We propose that firms operate under higher levels of delegation authority and social capital tend to exercise more knowledge-creating activities and intellectual capital and that the levels of intellectual capital tend to have significant impact on KM effectiveness. There are significant moderating effects of social capital and delegation authority on the relationships between knowledge-creating activities and intellectual capital.
