Study on the Corporate Reorganization Strategy Based on the Competence Element in the Information Economic Era

Corporate strategic choice is closely related to the society, economy and technological environment. In the information economy era, the source of enterprise's competitiveness gradually shifts to the competence element level. The strategic orientation should break through the traditional frameworks based on the strategic business unit (SBU) and transform into the perspective of competence element. The paper analyses two strategies to implement corporate reorganization based on competence element: point strategy and line strategy. Through investigating the applications of the strategy, the paper points out that reorganization based on competence element will be the best strategic orientation of enterprises. As to Chinese enterprises, in order to achieve competitiveness in the global value system, implementing modularization in the single enterprise and integration between enterprises based on competence element is the strategic choice.
