Study on the effect of an air purifier of its air flow control against smoking (part 2)

Since The "Guidelines for Measures on Smoking at Work" was revised in May of 2003, we have tested the conditions of several kinds of smoking site for The Guidelines. We have found that in the case of smoking site where smoking room or corner are difficult to set, ventilation is not enough but air purification with air flow controlled is effective. As compared with ventilation, in the case of air purification with air flow controlled, dust concentration outside smoking site was improved 66 percent, the effect of smoke separation did not decrease when the air coditioner inside smoking site operated, and heat loss by ventilation decreased 70 percent.
