Applications of DGPS in Scheduling Rescue Vehicles for Traffic Accidents

Traffic accident is an influential factor to economy and human safety. Global Positioning System (GPS) is an important component of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and it's the most advanced locating and navigating system. GPS can improve operating ability of vehicles and their management efficiency, improve safety of vehicles, cut down traffic jams, quicken up disposal and rescue of traffic accidents, and reduce environmental pollution. Differential GPS use differential technology and it' s very widely used to deal with the error caused deliberately in positioning system, The composition and principle of Differential GPS and its application in traffic accidents rescue field is analyzed and discussed in this paper.
